Elizabeth and Brian | Stafford, Virginia | Wedding

Elizabeth: Raw, true, and a natural beauty. Brian: Smart, humble, and a real man. Why is he a real man you may ask? Because on quite possibly the most important day of his life, he expressed his true emotions and love in front of everyone. That – is my definition – of a ‘real man’ and I truly respect that.  I must admit that during the ceremony, I was touched. And I am very glad that I was able to capture and experience the events that went on that day.

It rained and thunder stormed for about four days up until the wedding on May 30, 2009, in Stafford, VA. But luckily, we were blessed with clear and pleasant weather on Elizabeth and Brian’s special day.

Congratulations you two, plus Taylor and Aiden! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed working with you.

Lisa and Jim | Washington, DC | Engagement

What a lovely couple; they’re outgoing; they’re funny; they’re Lisa and Jim and they’ll be getting married in a few short months! I really appreciate it when couples tell me that they don’t have good photos of themselves together – as odd as it may seem. It just makes my work more gratifying. And, I can be the first put an end to that void.

The weather was cozy and comfortable. The lighting was dynamic and contrasty. All in all, the shoot was fun and relaxing. It was a pleasure guys, thanks!

Elizabeth, Brian, Taylor, and Aiden | Occoquan, Virginia

Although this odd day in May was cold and cloudy, Elizabeth, Brian, Taylor, and Aiden stuck it out and made the best of it.  We combined an engagement shoot and family portraits into one session.  To say the least, it was pretty crazy!  I learned that snacks are a kid’s best friend and I should keep some in my car for future children.  Luckily, I had my “assistant/babysitter” with me today; which allowed me to focus on Elizabeth and Brian more intimately.  Thanks Babe!

Elizabeth - I love these pictures Marno, they are great!!! Thank you so much. I can’t wait to have the wedding photos done! You are amazing.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom. Happy Birthday Blog.

Today, is my first post on my “new” blog.  And what great timing; it’s Mother’s Day!  Mom, this is for you.  Everything.  You’ve supported me through all of my wild actions and far-fetched ideas.  I wouldn’t have ever been able to make it this far without your love and support.  It’s the ambition in you that I admire.  And it’s the ambition that you’ve blessed me with that makes me reach further and further for my dreams.  Thank you.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.  These photos are my gift to you.  I love you with all of my heart.

Please take a moment to admire the photos of the woman who has been the most major influence and inspiration in my life.  All of these photos were taken on the Mall in Washington, DC, coincidentally on Mother’s Day.  And the weather, especially the light, could not have been any better on this impromptu shoot.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the awesome Mom’s out there.  You ladies rock!

Ryan "Bong Red" - Marno, Great shots (and words!) of your mom. What a good son.

Marno - LOL, thanks Bong Red!

Paula - hey, I like what you did with the first and second shots here.

Marno - Hey, I like that you constantly stalk my blog. You’re the best!
