These things are hot right now. I love designing them.

I got a new lens. Finally. Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L – soon to be welded to my 5D2. This combination will be my primary workhouse setup for years to come. The best thing about this piece of glass so far, is it’s very natural point of view. I’m hoping that it will capture the world exactly as I see it.

We trespassed, but we were not prosecuted. I love it when my couples are willing to break laws and hide from patrolling security guards in order to find epic photo locations. The shoot started pretty late in the evening and went well into the sticky Summer night.
Roxelena and Mark were wed just a few days after the shoot. On both occasions, they rocked my world. Be sure to stick around for their follow-up wedding photographs.

If I could describe my overall experience with Kaylyn and Andrew last weekend with one word, that word would be: natural. Everything just felt so genuine and organic. Not a single camera flash was fired. No fancy poses or forced smiles. Just the natural beauty of our state, and this simple, charming couple. We kept it real. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in September.

As I’m entering the latter segment of my shooting season, I have come to realize that I am so blessed to have the opportunities that have been presented to me on this journey. A huge, warm thanks to you all.
